Connected Roots Teletherapy LLC
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy
A gentle, person-centered approach for adults who feel stuck after trying other treatments.
At Connected Roots Teletherapy LLC, Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is offered as a gentle, person-centered option for adults who feel stuck after trying other treatments. I’m Veronica Deglman, LMFT, and I provide KAP through secure online therapy for people across Minnesota, with an emphasis on warmth, safety, and working together at a pace that feels right for you.
KAP brings together the effects of ketamine, which is prescribed and carefully managed by a licensed medical provider, with the support and reflection of therapy. The intention is never to “fix” you, but to offer a supportive space where you can explore emotions, notice new perspectives, and move toward meaningful change in a way that feels manageable and respectful of your story.
How Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy Works
I offer KAP in close collaboration with a licensed prescribing medical provider. The medical provider will meet with you to decide whether ketamine is appropriate, prescribe the medication, and watch over your physical safety. My role is to care for your emotional safety and guide your therapeutic process before, during, and after your dosing sessions.
Preparation Sessions
Before any ketamine is used, we’ll spend time getting to know each other and building a foundation of trust. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to KAP, explore what you’re hoping for, and make sure you feel informed and ready.
Sitting & Dosing Sessions
During your dosing session, I will be present with you. My role is simply to hold space and offer a calm, steady presence as you move through your experience.
Integration Sessions
After your dosing session, we’ll meet to gently explore what came up and what it might mean for you. This is where the real meaning-making happens — connecting the experience to your life and moving forward with intention.
Who Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy May Help
KAP may be an option if you’re an adult who has not found enough relief from more traditional approaches on their own. In collaboration with the prescribing medical provider, I offer KAP for people navigating treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
KAP may be a fit if you’re living with treatment-resistant depression and are looking for something to add to the support you’ve already tried. It can also be considered for certain forms of anxiety, when other approaches haven’t brought enough ease or clarity, and it may sometimes be used alongside care for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), always with careful attention to your sense of safety and readiness.
KAP is not the right fit for everyone, and that’s an important part of this conversation. Thoughtful medical and mental health screening help us determine whether this approach feels appropriate and safe for you. If KAP is not recommended, we can talk together about other therapy options within Connected Roots Teletherapy LLC that may be a better match for your needs.
Connected Roots serves individuals, couples, and families across Minnesota through teletherapy, and you’re welcome here even if you’re just gathering information. If you’re unsure whether KAP is right for you, you’re invited to reach out with questions so we can explore your options together.
What to Expect from KAP with Connected Roots
A steady, supportive presence
From your very first preparation session through your final integration meeting, my goal is to offer a calm, grounded, and person-centered presence. You are encouraged to move at a pace that feels manageable, with plenty of room to name fears, uncertainties, and hopes as they arise.
A focus on safety
Safety is at the heart of KAP. The collaborating medical provider oversees the medical aspects of ketamine treatment, while I focus on emotional safety, consent, and helping you stay within a tolerable range of experience. Before any dosing day, we’ll talk through grounding skills, boundaries, and what helps you feel as secure and supported as possible.
Integrating Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)
Within KAP, I sometimes draw on Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a gentle approach that uses guided eye movements, imagery, and revisiting experiences in new ways to help your brain process what has been painful or overwhelming. ART can be woven into preparation and integration sessions to support you when memories or feelings feel especially charged or stuck.
We might use ART to help soften the emotional intensity of painful memories so they feel less overwhelming to carry. It can also support you in shifting stuck images or stories into forms that feel more manageable and less upsetting, and over time, this kind of work can help your nervous system move toward a greater sense of steadiness and ease.
ART is always used gently and collaboratively. You remain in charge of what you share, how far you go, and when we pause or stop in any session.

A Note About the Good Faith Estimate
Under federal law, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate that explains the expected costs of your non-emergency medical and mental health care. You can request a Good Faith Estimate for Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy at any time before you schedule or at any point during our work together.
Your estimate will outline projected costs for preparation, dosing, and integration sessions with Connected Roots Teletherapy LLC based on the plan we discuss. The separate medical provider fee is determined and communicated directly by that provider.
